"CONTEMPLATION: THE ORIGIN", Miguel Ángel González

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of our new exhibition: "Contemplation: The Origin", featuring the work of artist Miguel Ángel González.

The inauguration will take place on Thursday, 18 September, at 7:00 p.m. at the Illa Carlemany shopping centre in Andorra.
From this date, the exhibition will be open to visitors until 28 September, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

For the first time in Andorra, visitors will be able to admire the original piece "Balance", which inspired the monumental sculpture "Contemplation" at the Roc del Quer viewpoint, now one of the country's most iconic landmarks.

The event will be attended by the artist himself, who will share insights into his creative process.

"IMAGES THAT UNSETTLE, IMAGES OF A STRUGGLE", María Elena Neira

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of our new exhibition: "Images that unsettle, images of a struggle", a showcase of the artist María Elena Neira, which will take place on Thursday, 10th July at 19:00 at our space, Habit-Art Gallery, located at Carrer Roger de Llúria, 38, Lleida. From that date, the exhibition will be open to the public during regular opening hours.

With this exhibition, we aim to create a space for reflection on often silenced realities such as gender-based violence, vicarious violence, and prostitution, highlighting the role of art as a tool for awareness, denunciation, and social transformation. The work of María Elena Neira invites us to confront what makes us uncomfortable, engaging us through the sensitivity and power of artistic expression.

During the opening, we will also have the privilege of presenting the performance "Objects", created by Ernest López and inspired by the work of the emblematic artist Ana Mendieta. This performance reinforces the theme of the exhibition, focusing on the body as object, identity, and resistance through art.

Through this initiative, Habit-Art Gallery reaffirms its commitment to culture, the defence of human rights, and the promotion of contemporary art with values, establishing itself as a space open to creativity, social reflection, and critical thinking.

CONTEMPORARY ART TAKES ROOT AT EL REBOST DEL TALENT THROUGH HABIT-ART GALLERY

Last Friday, June 13th marked the inauguration of El Rebost del Talent, a new business, coworking and multidisciplinary creative space located at Doctor Combelles Street, 34, in Lleida. This project aims to become a meeting point between artists, the local business network, and the wider community, promoting contemporary talent from multiple perspectives.

At Habit-Art Gallery, we are proud to have contributed to this first exhibition by lending works from several of the artists we represent, including Miguel Ángel González, Juan Manuel Pajares, Ermengol Tolsà, Indira Urrutia, Ramón Ruiz, and Jaume Plensa. Their pieces, using a wide range of aesthetic languages, explore themes such as identity, the human body, matter and memory, creating a visual dialogue within this new space.

Through this collaboration, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting contemporary art and its integration into new environments—connecting artistic creation with entrepreneurship, the city, and its citizens.

NEW PUBLIC SCULPTURE BY MIGUEL ÁNGEL GONZÁLEZ IN ALMACELLES

On March 26, 2025, the sculpture Victòria by artist Miguel Ángel González—represented by Habit-Art Gallery—was installed in the town of Almacelles. Located on Josep Maria Dordal Avenue, the piece pays tribute to the sporting achievements of the local volleyball teams during the 1970s and 1980s, becoming a symbol of collective recognition and community pride.

With Victòria, Miguel Ángel González further strengthens his artistic presence in the town, which already features four of his public sculptures.

In these new sculptures, music takes on a life of its own. It is the central theme of this series—musicians who move and dance to the melodies they perform. Crafted from iron, these pieces embody an extraordinary fragility and sensitivity, with a transparent soul that fills them with a humanity that transcends the material itself.
